Where we came from.

Why we do this.

And why we’re a little different.

Tax and Cloud LLC wasn’t built from a business plan. It was built from a real problem that a real family faced for years—and a teenager who refused to accept that it couldn’t be fixed.

It started with her parents’ businesses—and a teenager who refused to accept a bad system.

Sharise didn't start Tax and Cloud LLC from a textbook. She started it from a real problem she watched her family face for years.

Her parents were entrepreneurs, who over the course of many years, ran a daycare, a restaurant, a slaughterhouse, a meat packing plant, and several grocery stores (one of which is still running today). They were hardworking, resourceful people building real businesses. But, like so many small business owners, their recordkeeping was held together with handwritten journals, paper ledgers, and the hope that their tax preparer would sort it all out at year end.

They were handing over bank statements and messy handwritten records and wondering every year why their tax bills were so high.

Sharise saw it clearly, even as a teenager: the problem wasn't what they were earning. It was what wasn't being captured. No organized books meant a lack of strong deductions. Lack of deductions meant overpaying the IRS year after year.

So she did something about it. While still in high school, she taught herself bookkeeping and took over her parents' books. She discovered QuickBooks and converted the family businesses from those Dome accounting books to the digital world — back in the late 90s/early 2000s, when that was not a small thing to do. Then she started studying tax forms. She went to the library to get them. She took classes. She got certified.

And she realized her parents weren't alone.

There was a whole category of business owners being underserved. She decided to fix that.

Small business owners occupy a difficult financial middle ground. They're too established to get by with just bank statements. But they're not large enough to have their own accountants keeping their books year-round. And most of them — understandably — couldn't see the value in paying for bookkeeping services when money was already tight.

What they didn't realize was that poor recordkeeping was costing them far more in taxes than accurate bookkeeping ever would.

Sharise saw that gap and stepped into it. She founded Nobles Bookkeeping and Tax — now rebranded as Tax and Cloud LLC — and began working with small business owners, charging what they could afford, and proving through results that organized books and a lower tax bill were directly connected.

It didn't take long for clients to see it. And it didn't take long for word to spread.

If you’ve known us as Nobles Bookkeeping and Tax—welcome back. Same mission. Same heart. New name.

“I always wanted them to outgrow me”

From the very beginning, the goal was never to create dependency. It was to elevate.

The mission was to be the person who helped small business owners get to the level where they could afford a robust accounting team — or an in-house bookkeeper who could call us when they got stuck. To give them the tools, the knowledge, and the confidence to grow beyond what we could offer them. And when they did, to be proud of the role we played in getting them there.

That philosophy shaped everything: the way we work with clients, the seminars we started hosting, and the decision to shift from doing the bookkeeping for clients to teaching them how to do it themselves.

Because a client who outgrows you isn't a loss. It's the whole point.

Built to help you grow. Happy when you outgrow us

Meet Sharise—The Person Behind Tax and Cloud LLC

Sharise is an Enrolled Agent (EA) — federally licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to prepare taxes and represent taxpayers before the IRS in all 50 states.

She's been doing this work since the early 2000s, when she first converted her family's businesses from paper ledgers to QuickBooks. What started as a teenager solving a problem for her parents became a career built entirely around solving that same problem for others.

Based in Jacksonville, NC, Sharise works fully remotely with clients across the country — and will travel to a client's location when needed, including for IRS and Sales Tax audits.

Her approach to tax planning isn't complicated formulas or elaborate strategies. It's the practical, often overlooked things that make the biggest difference — the home office deduction you didn't know you qualified for, the property depreciation that changes your tax picture, the W-2 withholding adjustment that stops you from owing every April. The things that nobody explained to you because they assumed you already knew.

She's unconventional in her approach — and intentionally so. Because the people she serves deserve more than cookie-cutter advice from someone who's never actually sat where they're sitting.

Credentials & Qualifications—Enrolled Agent (EA)—Authorized to represent taxpayers in all 50 states—Specialization in small business tax, tax planning, IRS, NC Income and NC Sales tax compliance—20+ years of experience.
